This measuring tool consists of a vertical bar, a horizontal bar and adjustable markers. It made of plastic injection, given the dirty and humid work environment.
The potter first produces a prototype, adjusts the tool, and finally locks the measurements. The other pieces in the series are then measured using the tool to ensure a unified size across the series.

In order to create an identical set of utensils, the potter must measure the first utensil and keep the measurements until the process is complete. After a meeting, conversation and documentation in the workspace, it appeared that the existing measurement tools are cumbersome, and that a tool that was accurate and convenient to use was needed.
